Nutcracker
A Nutcracker for Dockyard Days at Portsmouth Historic Dockyards for Wild in Art.
For my Nutcracker the brief was 'Great days out with so much to see' which made me think of the rhyme 'I see the moon and the moon sees me god bless the sailors on the sea!'
I've painted the nutcracker a moonlit night with some of the vessels you'll see at the historic dockyard including The Mary Rose, the Victory, The Warrior as well as some more contemporary navy vessels.
The 12 nutcracker statues will be displayed around the Portsmouth Historic Dockyards Victorian Christmas Festival.
